why i'm weighing in but not setting a goal weight

  • i'm an usual body type i dont; look my weight. i posted a pic of me on here years ago wearing a pair of shorts at 230lb and didn't look it. so now i'm aiming to get into a set of 34-36 jeans. that is the goal.

however i will continue to weigh in weekly to make sure i am heading south but i'm taking the emphasis off the scales!

tomorrow i'll be heading to the gym for the first day of my monster sessions its my graduation in 1 month! i'm hoping to shift around 10lbs and as i'm unemployed i'm going to live in the gym i'm aiming for around 2-3hrs cardio a day. which is easy cos its about a 35min walk each way to the gym so thats an hour straight up.
  • man can you send me some of your ambition
  • Good luck
  • Wow! 2-3 hours of cardio a day?!?! Boys are so ambitious! ha! No, but seriously I would pass out after 2 for sure. lol

    Best of luck! =)
  • WOW -- that's a lot of cardio! I don't think I could keep up either! lol Good luck!! I am sure you will do great
  • Wishing you were closer , you sound like a kickA$$ workout partner. Good luck on heading south.Lol!
  • Good luck! whatever get's you goin is good enough!
  • I don`t think a slimming goal always needs to be weight. For me, it`s a dress size, too. I also measure and had a specific goal in respect to my belly (wanted to lose 10% of its circumference, which I achieved a few weeks ago).
  • I have three sons, all of which are on a diet at one time or another. My middle son is having a hard time getting started; he did join a gym today and did about 1/2 hour of exercise, but not too strenuous. I don't want him to have a heart attack! So, what food plan do you follow? Do you know of any weight loss forums for men? When he was younger he used to hit it like you are doing, but he's too old for that now.
  • ok so this morning i started my cardio i'm building up to it did 1.5hrs walking to and from the gym with a slight detour on the way home. did a circuit at the gym to keep the HR up very very very tired now
  • wow... i agree dont do too much too fast it may discourage you if you cant accomplish your goal..but hey only you know you limit and if you can do it then great. here is to a sucessfull workout...
