Questions....

  • Im joining weight watchers meetings in a couple of weeks. I had been avoiding for a while due to the cost, but finally convinced myself, then my husband, it will be worth it, and the cost will just replace the junk food i would have otherwise been buying. i live in the UK, and wondering about the prices of it all since i have to budget very carefully and would like to know what to expect. Can anyone enlighten me? and also about registration, does that include any of the literature or gadgets?
    thanks in advance.
  • hiya!
i'm in ireland so i cant give you the exact price, but its 10euro per week, so it will be definitely less than a tenner for you. the registration was also 10euro.
the price includes a little blue folder and all the info. you will get a book each week up until week 5. you dont get any of the scales or calculators or anything electronic, but in the literature you will get everything you need to work out points and such.

the first time you go, you will go to the receptionist first, and she will give you a form to fill out. then you will get your card, hop on the scale and the leader will welcome you, and give you the literature. you then go sit down for the meeting and after that the leader will stay back with the new people and explain everything to you. she will help you work out your points requirement and show you how to work out the points in food. they also give you a fast start book which has a weeks worth of menus already done out just to get you started and the leader will probably advise you to do that, just to get into the hang of it.

i hope i havent overwhelmed you! you definitely wont regret going. best of luck and let us know how it goes!
