  • I have to be a "celebrity judge" at a black-tie event next week. After I accepted the invitation, I was all like, OMG what am I going to wear?? I have nothing!! And I don't want to buy anything, I'm only in a size for 6 weeks at the time.

Well, I went through my basement and closet and found a suit I bought in 2003. I only wore it once, when I went to this thing where I got to meet John Kerry (before he ran for president).

    It's a 14W.

    I tried it on.

IT FITS!!!! It is Very Very Fitted...but it fits, no problem.

    Wow.
  • congrats!
  • WAY TO GO!!!--i bet that feels great--such an accomplishment!!

i hope you really enjoy yourself

  • Woohoo!!
  • Woo Hoo!
  • Yey!!!
    Thatīs great!

A little question... what does the W stand for in 14 W? Is it different from just plain 14?
  • That is awesome--I'm so thrilled for you!!!!
  • OH!!!!! That is so awesome! We need pictures
  • I remember 14w . LOL congrats and keep up the good work
  • 14W is smaller in the waist and larger in the bust and hip, and arms and legs, than 14 misses. It would be between a 16 misses and a 14 misses. Which is a trip, because I generally wear a small 18 or a large 16. I have a very small waist (compared to the other measurements) but I should be no-where near being able to wear a 14. I still have several 16s I can't get into, like a fabulous pair of Hilfiger jeans in a very very light blue. My goal is for them to be roomy by the end of the year. I remember buying this suit and in my mind it was a lot smaller than it actually is. I'm glad I was brave enough to try it on! I'm afraid to have it dry-cleaned though, if it shrinks one iota I can't wear it.
  • That is awesome! Congratulations on such a great accomplishment!
  • That's just AMAZING!! Good for you!
  • Awesome!
  • We need to see it! Congratulations!
  • Don't you just love "shopping" in your own closet? Congrats!
