Fav canned soup?

  • I don't really like to eat canned soup that often, I find it is way to salty. I normally like to make my own soups. But sometimes it is nice to just grab a can. Today I tried Campbell's Healthy Choice Chicken Noodle Soup. To me, it seamed a bit greasy. My favorite "soup" from a can is combining tomato sauce and water with some spices. Anyone have any suggestions for a good soup?
  • Have you tried organic soups? Since you normally make your own, you might find these more to your liking.

I like the Amy's Kitchen brand.
  • this makes me sad, as my two favorite of favorite soups are no longer made. They were Capbells California Vegetable and Progresso Herb and Vegetable Rotini. I still scour the soup isle hanging onto a thread of hope that they will come back with style.

Favorite Existing Soup: Amy's Black Bean & Vegetable, and Progresson 99% Fat Free Minestrone.
  • I know cambells has a lot of soduim, but I love thier soup. I like taking ther tomato soup, making it with water and then adding organic salsa to it. yummm, I think I'm going to have that for dinner!
  • Amy's brand sounds good. I will pick that up next time I am shopping. Salsa in tomato soup?! That sounds great. I am going to try that! Thanks for the suggestions!
  • Pacific Organic's Low-Sodium Roasted Red Pepper & Tomato.

I could eat a whole carton in a sitting.
  • I get the 70 or 80 calorie soup in a hand-held cup things from Campbells. Chicken with mini noodles. They're okay. A bit high on the sodium, though.
  • My favorites are Progresso's pasta e fagioli (I am sure I butchered that spelling) and hearty tomato. I don't eat them too often 'cause of the sodium though
  • I'm a soup-snob. I only like what I make myself, probably because of the sodium.

However, I've heard really good things about Amy's brand.
