I'm Going To Be Working From Home...

  • I'm very excited about a new job I'm starting this week. I've been working at a physical job for quite awhile, but physically cannot do it anymore, so this home computer job fits my physical limitations... I'm very grateful, but I'm worried I'm going to get lazy and fall off the wagon. I'm not being negative already, instead...I'm trying to prepare.. I'm in the process of setting up a schedule and thinking I should treat my exercise sessions and meal prep as 'meetings'... Unfortunately, I am in chronic pain which is severe right now... but other than that I have no excuses, I have a gym membership, a gym on my complex, a great grocery store within walking distance... and probably pool for therapy..
Is anyone else working at home ? Any hints ?
  • I work from home. One of the suprise benefits is how easy it is to get myself to the gym. After being alone all day and sitting very still (I'm a programmer) , I'm really to get out and get my body moving!
  • Just curious, what sorta work are you doing? I worked from home for 2 years so I am wondering. If you don't want to share, I'll understand
  • I think the making meal times and exercise times a part of your schedule is an excellent idea! That way, You won't feel rushed during prep time and then you won't have the excuse of no time during work-out time. Congrats on the new job, hopefully that will help the pain you're in considerably.

WTG on making it a big part of your life!

Onederchic, I'll be working as a call center agent, taking incoming appt calls.
Thankfully no cold calls or sales required.
  • Too bad that right arm isn't working properly, you could go out and play catch with the kids in the neighborhood.
