Hello

  • Hello, I started my weight loss journey on 17 August. I'm trying to lose 30lbs total. I have lost about 10lbs so far. Last week I didn't lose any weight and it was a bit discouraging, but I am journaling my progress and the things I eat. I started eating the processed low calorie frozen meals last week. I am doing a reduced cal diet and walking 5 days a week for an hour or more. Well I think those processed dinners are no good for me. I stayed within my calorie intake goal and kept exercising, but for whatever reason I didn't lose any lbs this week. I assume it is the meas that made the difference so this week I will not eat them and see what happens. If I lose weight then I know what I did wrong Anyhoo, I am so happy to be here!!! Oh yeah I hope to have the weight off by the end of November, losing 1 to 2 lbs a week.
  • Welcome to the forums. Don't be too discouraged from the lack of recent weight loss, things happen. I would be curious to find out if the processed frozen meals were high in sodium. Excess sodium could cause water retention. Just a thought. Keep up the good work. Walking is great exercise.
  • Hi and welcome to 3FC!

    Good luck with your goals

  • Welcome!!
  • I have noticed that a lot of the "frozen diet entrees" are very high in sodium. I have to keep a eye on sodium intake due to my high blood pressure. Just make sure you are reading the Nutritional Information. Low Calories does not alway equal healthy.
  • Thanks for the warm welcome!! And I never thought about the sodium content. They may have been it. Either way, no more of those meals for me. I have already shown a difference since day 1 and 2 of this week.
