Husband being a PITA **Vent**

  • So my husband totally ticked me off this morning. He never cooks well, ever. I do almost all of the cooking now as I am making our entire family eat healthier. It is necessary we have a cholesterol disorder and even my 12 year old has adult level high cholesterol from it. Anyway, he always cooks breakfast on Sunday morning. This is my one major weekly indulgence. Let me be clear an indulgence I do not want to give up. So this morning he gets up and makes breakfast and refuses to make potatoes as they are bad for me. Tells me I will thank him 15 pds from now. He has always been very supportive, never has had a problem with my weight, of course would love to see the 120 pd figure he use to see in high school 20 years ago. I was just pissed and then I hardly ate at all. After all of that he turns and said I just didn't feel like cooking them. AARRRHHHHHGGG!!!!

Well just say that then. I don't mind that but don't put your laziness on my weight loss. That just pisses me off. I have lost my weight with a combination of expanding our food selection and limiting my portions. It has been very gradual but it works for me. I can do this forever and the more I lose the better I eat.

Sorry for the negativity. I love him and will not even care tomorrow but just had to vent to someone.
  • Just wanted to give you a little ...
  • Men can be so clueless sometimes! They mean to be helpful but sometimes they just don't GET it. I'm sure he's a good guy who just kind of went temporarily goofy this morning. Booo!!!!!
  • Oh my god , Mine was the same way today. He has his moments, but I know I have mine to. Usually I give him the evil stare down until he cowards away because he knows he did wrong, plus I don't want to say anything in haste so I just give the evil glare for a bit until he apologizes to me.
But yeah there's days I just want to give em a good kick. I feel ya there.
