5 things im proud of

  • my weight loss has been stalling lately, and its making me really depressed, so im doing this thread to sort of encourage myself and stop being so down.

    1. i have a beautiful family. my son is smart and kind and fun to be around (saying a lot for a 7 year old). my husband IS the love of my life.

    2. i have stuck to this diet for 8 months. this is the longest ive ever stuck with a diet AND the most weight i have ever lost.

    3. my college cumulative GPA is a 3.97.

    4. i used to be very dismissive of people who struggled with weight ("just stop eating!!"), gaining all this weight has taught me how hard it really is and made me a better, more compassionate person.

    5. i have a lot of GREAT friends who love me for who i am, not what i look like, so there must be some good under all this weight.

    what are you proud of?

    3. I worked hard to graduate summa cum laude with my Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities. (first person in my immediate family to go to grad school)

    4. I have the best friends that anyone could ever ask for. Although we don't get to see each other as often as we would all like, when we do get back together, it's like no time has gone by. We just all pick up where we left off!!!

    5. I am proud of the kids that I work with. Many of them I work with starting when they come into the high school as freshmen and I am able to watch them grow over the years and seeing them receive their high school diplomas after all the years of struggle they have had trying to get through school is an amazing feeling!

    - I'm happy that I have a wonderful supportive family. Other than my husband, my bestest friends are my parents and sis.

    - I'm happy that I found this forum with like-minded individuals. I learned from this site how to eat properly and for my body. Thanks, 3FC!
