  • Welcome to the forum

Start slow if you are having pain! Any movement is better than no movement!
  • Hi and welcome!

If you have access to an indoor pool, swimming is one of the best low-impact exercises you can do - because it's cardio and resistance training all in one and is very easy on the joints.

To get involved on the forum - just dive in. I'm still new myself, but it seems like the more threads you visit and comment on, the more feedback you can give and get and the more enmeshed you get in the group. So far this is a great group of gals!

My high weight was 383 in May, but today I'm at 339 - so I'm right there with you!

  • I am a newbie too...you will find some wonderful ladies around here and lots of good advice...I sure have!!
  • Hi and welcome to the board. This is a great place to find support. Good luck on your journey. I have a recumbent bike which I love---it is the kind of exercise that does not overtax my joints and feet.
  • Welcome. I am new here too and wanted to say hi. We also have a WII and I have not used it at all. I need a kick in the but to get out the door and walk maybe we can be exercise buddies!
  • Welcome to the group, I was say swimming and walking. I need to get a WII
  • Welcome welcome! You can totally do this, we all can!

I'm jealous, I want a Wii... Or an xbox 360...playing Dead Rising is mighty tempting, but no...a Wii for exercise and wonderful things is better...or zombies..maybe if I could Wii fit with zombies...yeah!
  • Welcome I too have a houseful of children. Just dive right in the threads. And start slow with exercise and work your way up.
  • I'm new too- don't feel bad Stay positive, and with the encouragement of all these lovely ladies, we'll make it!
