Any Tom Venuto followers in the house?

  • I just started reading the book "Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle". The first chapter is about goal settings...daily, weekly, 90 day, etc and about affirmatives. I am not sure why but I am having a real struggle with writing down anything and would love some tips and pointers on how to do it and/or how you did it.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hugs

  • Quite a few of us in the weight lifting and resistance forum have read BFFM. It is a good book. I actually just picked up his 'real' book (as opposed to e-book). I haven't read it yet but it is sits staring at me in the living room.
  • Thanks nelie. I have had the ebook for awhile now but I guess it seemed intimidating to me so I hadn't started reading it until now.
  • Where can I get this e-book? Could anybody send it to me?
  • Quote: Where can I get this e-book?
    It is copyrighted material:

    Looks like it is $39.95.
  • You can purchase it here - http://www.burnthefat.com/
  • Hehe nelie, thanks
  • I just started reading his hardcover book the body fat solution and I love it. It is supposedly a bit of a simpler version of the ebook (so I've heard, haven't read the ebook).
In the hardcover version, goal setting is in chapter 5, and is about 10 pages of a roughly 300 page book.

My advice is there is a lot of really very good info in this book and if your not ready to write all your goals down off the cuff, right now-don't.

Don't get hung-up on having to read the book, by-the-book.

Writing down your goals isn't for everyone and maybe you'll be more in the mindset to write your goals out once you've finished the book.
    Good luck.
  • Thank you
  • Huge fan here.

I agree about not writing anything unless you are ready to. What helped me was to imagine what I would be feeling like with 40 lbs or so gone. Then I wrote my 90 day goal based on that. For daily goals, it is kind of a personal thing - whatever you are having trouble doing. For me, one daily goal is to drink all my water (hard for me!) and I phrased it like this: "I feel SO much better now that I am giving my body all the water it needs and flushing all the fat and toxins out of my body." Tried to make all my goals in the present tense and focus on how it felt.

    Hope that helps a little!
