  • Good Morning,

    Almost Friday yahoooooooooo......

How's everyone ??? getting ready to eat a bagel (slowly lol).
Whats everyone's plans for the weekend. Nothing much here, just having the floor guy come back and fix his dang work.

I just wanna sit outside on my swing and enjoy the blue skys.

    Wuzzzzzzzz up ??

    Love, Leens

    Theresa ??? you comin ?
  • Mornin'
Hi Leens and those to come,

I feel all rested and perky today!! That is what happens when you get 8.5 hours of sleep! zzzzz I got up and did my damn step tape thing morning at 5.. day 5 and I am nearly done for the week. I hate getting started, don't really love it when I am doing it , but boy do I love the endorphins afterwards. They really help stabilize my depression. My meds can't fix everything.

Dinner last night was fish tacos. I made a new recipe,, let me get it

1/2 cup sour cream ( I used ff)
1/2 cup mayonnaise ( I use 1 gram fat stuff)
    1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1 (1.25 ounce) package Taco Seasoning Mix, divided
1 pound cod or other white fish fillets, cut into 1-inch pieces (I used orange roughy)
    2 tablespoons vegetable oil ( I used 1T)
    2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 package (12) Taco Shells, warmed ( I used La Tortilla Factory Low carb whole wheat and garlic tortillas)

Toppings: shredded cabbage or lettuce, chopped tomato, lime juice, Taco Sauce, low fat cheese etc..

    Directions
1 COMBINE sour cream, mayonnaise, cilantro and 2 tablespoons seasoning mix in small bowl.
2 COMBINE fish, vegetable oil, lemon juice and remaining seasoning mix in medium bowl; pour into large skillet. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium-high heat for 4 to 5 minutes or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork. ( I cooked it so the fish bites were a bit crispy on one side)
3 FILL taco shells with fish mixture. Top with cabbage, tomato and sour cream mixture, lime juice and taco sauce

And yes, I have leftovers so this is also dinner tonight!!

Hey Leens, what kinda bagel are you eating? My absolute favorite bagel are called everything or all in one.. garlic, onion , poppy seed ,salt and sesame seeds... yum. Tomorrow is bagel day here.. bagels and donuts actually. I cut a bagel in half and have that as my treat.

This weekend? I am having a friend over for dinner, and having the salad I mentioned in yesterdays thread. Saturday I'll be cleaning house and chopping veggies. Sunday... chores and movies probably.

    What is everyone else doing?
  • Hi everyone!

Getting ready for my 20 year high school reunion..am flying as it is out of province. I am so not ready...it has been hot and lovely here! Hope you are all well....I have missed you..take care all..Liz
  • Hi Girls,

Linda, I had a poppy seed w/onion creamcheese and sliced tomatoes on top (just a little creamcheese but oh what a nice flavor) Try it some time, the tomatoes are so yummy on it. I love everything bagels but the taste stays with me allll day. There is one bagel that they have called apple pie......it has crumbs in the center of it.....OMG taste like a donut...definitly stay away from that one lol.

Lizzy, your having your reunion this year too....I'm not going to mine (20th) cause I didn't like them then and I'm sure I won't like them now LOLOLOLOL. Actually I went to my 10th and I was 150 lbs, nobody recognized me cause in Highschool I weighed 300+. That was the only time in my life I felt beautiful and proud...kinda like a p-cock haaaaaaaa

It was funny cause the jocks got fat and bald and the cheerleaders just got uglier

Now I'm way to fat to go LOLOLOOLOL. Nah honestly thats not the reason I'm not going, I really don't like them. Besides the ones I hung around with in HS, I still chat with - the ones who count !!

    Toodles !!!

Lin, did I tell you I'm on welbutrin now ?? oy huh lolol
  • Druggie
    Leens,

Go out right now and make a bagel for me pretty pls?

I didn't got to my 20 year reunion either. I did got to the 10 year one. It was enlightening. The cheerleaders got fat, the men lost a lot of hair and grew hair on their faces to compensate , and the ones who were slutty back then were even worse as adults. ( ask me sometime about what 2 of them were doing in the parking lot during the reunion and about some shredded pantyhose I saw) And NO, it wasn't me....

Tell me about Wellbutrin Leens. How do you like it? I am glad I bullied you into going back to your doctor. I am curious about how new med is as my new doc may want me off the med I am on now.. hoping not.
  • Linny,

I've only been taking it for a few days now so I can't really say much. I think it takes a little while before it kicks in but you know I will let you know. I've heard good things about it so thats why I suggested it to my doctor. Actually I didn't even need to see her, she just changed it over the phone.....haaaa makes you wonder huh. I was happy in any case

Jim is also on it (Zyban) for smoking, he hasn't had a cigarette in over more than a week but it took him a few weeks before the drug started working. The only draw back with him was in the beginning he couldn't sleep... for me thats NO problem lol. I'm SOOO happy for him.

Sluuuuuuuuuuuurp on the bagel....gotta love em with tomatoes.

Well off to a stupid presentation uhhhhhhhhhh.

  • Hi Leens, Lizzie and Linda,

It's actually 1:25 am here right now, I'm wide awake, wish this insomnia would go away.

Linda...good eatings going on!! Sounds like a fun luncheon this weekend...I might fly in!!

Leens, how much wellbutrin are you taking? I was on 150mg once a day and I didn't see any difference. I took it for about 10 weeks and then stopped. I didn't loose any weight at all either during that time. They are saying now that it is working for weight loss. I did think that it stopped some of my compulsive disorders lol, like cleaning!!!! and felt like it helped with the hand to mouth thing (in my case food)...I guess that why it is good for smoking and now they say eating. In any case good luck with it, I think I needed to take a larger dose maybe twice a day instead.

I haven't had a bagel in almost two years...one thing I loved that I gave up.

Found a dress...haven't ordered it yet though. Toooooo expensive!!!!!!! But it is so different and just perfect for a summer wedding. Have to make a decision by this Saturday or else they won't be able to get it. I knew this would happen, that old saying, you get what you pay for really applies here! Well, I should say when you compare what I am looking at to the $200.00 dresses.

Lizzie, great to see you last night. Did you find a dress today???

Try to catch you all tomorrow......have a great Friday~~~~~Meg
