I've actually been registered with this site for over a year. In that year, I packed on thirty more pounds. -.-' Anyway, finally tipping the scale at almost a hundred pounds over my "healthy" (by doc's standards) weight. I really don't feel comfortable in my own skin anymore and I'm sick of going into stores with my friends, who are all skinny and pretty and never trying on anything cute, or going by myself and crying in the changing room because I can't fit into anything.
Today, my extended family came over and we took a ton of pictures and i couldn't believe how terrible I looked!
So, enough bellyaching. I've finally decided that I need to change. I don't want to be a twig. I just want to be at a comfortable, healthy weight. So i can look at myself in the mirror and not want to cry.
My goal is to loose upwards of eighty to ninety pounds. Every time I try to diet and lose weight, I'll try for about a month, and the scale won't move. I start to feel like I'll never be able to lose all the weight.. It just seems like too much to move. I hope someone can give me a hand with battling the cravings and some insight onto how to get the weight to actually come off!
Oh, my name is Kelly by the way! I just want to say hi to everyone and hope that everyone can attain their goal like I someday hope to!

, Kelly! I feel your pain on the shopping. That is exactly how I felt at my highest weight: all my friends were thin (by my standards at the TIME, anyone thinner than ME was thin
) and wore "cute" outfits while I was torn between huge t-shirts, jinormous jeans, men's clothing, pajamas, and --if I wanted to look GOOD for any reason -- I had the same five trusty outfits I could always count on!
I was INFURIATED and thought, "Drat, this stinks. Maybe I'm just doomed to be fat forever. Maybe I have a slow metabolism." Then, just as I considered giving up (after 2-3 weeks, I think), I stepped on the scale and... lo and behold... I lost 5 pounds! I couldn't believe it. I had real, live weight loss just staring at me!
Sure, I was still plenty overweight, BUT I LOST five pounds! The same will happen to you. I would suggest getting an account with FitDay if you haven't already and diligently logging your calories and exercise. Make sure you set your "lifestyle" to sedentary/bed bound for best and most accurate results.
