Some of you may remember me from my previous attempts at SBD. I am giving very serious consideration to trying SBD once again, along with using the Beck Diet Solution and Tom Venuto's Body Fat Solution books.
I have tried everything else and SBD is the only thing that has worked for me. However I've never stayed committed for one reason or another.
Now the time has come that I really MUST lose weight. I am in my late 40's. I am tired. I'm unfit. I'm a series of aches of and pains. NOW is the time that I must start to care for my health. Also, I hate the way I look. And I've been single now for 3 years and I'd really like someone special in my life, but I dont have the confidence to date.
I need to lose at least 30 pounds, my doctor would prefer me to lose 60.
I do have a problem with craving sweets and other 'white' carbs and can very easily overeat these foods.
I've discovered that eating these foods just makes me crave more and more of them and it turns into a binge. I have just recently tried a plan that allows me to eat such things in moderation, but for me, with those foods, moderation is not a concept I can understand. Allowing myself those foods just makes me eat them in very large amounts.
My experience with SBD has shown me that when I follow P1, the cravings do go away, but I've never gotten very far into P2 to judge the diet in the longer term.
So what I'd like to know, especially from the maintainers or the longer term Beachers, is this:
were you a person who used to really crave sweets, French bread, etc etc and has SB really helped you to overcome your cravings?
Also what other benefits have you found with this WOE? Anything at all, maybe you don't have as many aches in the morning, or your skin looks better.
As I said, newer beachers, please feel free to add your own experiences too
