Ladies @ The Gym! Share Your Workouts!

  • Lately I have been all about the gym. My favorite machine is the elliptical but I heard that it's much better to switch around machines so you can continue to work different parts of your body. I have a good time looking at really hot guys lifting weights while I'm doing cardio, but I often get bored. Even when I try to switch it around I think...how am I going to keep doing this?

    I guess one of my favorite gym workouts is
    1 hour elliptical
    30 min. stairstepper

    Ladies can you please post your gym workouts? I need some new things to try!

  • I do 2 to 3 miles on the elliptical and then 2 miles on the treadmill. If I have any energy left I will do a couple of miles on the bike just to keep my legs from figuring out what I'm up to. I would like to do the stair-stepper but I've not managed to get there yet.

    Every other day I use the machines for my biceps and triceps and then use free weights that I have at home.

  • When I have to go indoors to do cardio, I much prefer to be outside biking or running, I have to do intervals on the treadmill of either sprints or playing with the incline. I also play games in my head too or I'll get bored ... I bring my ipod and listen to music also...
  • My workouts are a bit of a mix

    Monday's are weights - a programme that my trainer set up for me

    Tuesdays are cardio - cross trainer, rower, bike and treadmill

    Thursdays are either cardio or a circuit type class if I'm feeling really enthused.

    Fridays I workout with trainer and it's usually weights again.

    Saturday I do a spin class and if I've got the energy, maybe spend some time on the treadmill or cross trainer. That doesn't happen very often!
  • mine is the same every day at the gym, its a programme worked out for me by the trainer. i go tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays and sundays.

    start with 5 mins on the rower to get me warmed up. then on to some weights. they are machines and i dont know what they are called, but there are 4 for my upper body, one for my core and 2 for my legs. then its over to the gym ball to do squats and some stretches. then on to 10 mins on the cross trainer, 10 mins HITT on the treadmill and 5 mins on the bike as a cool down.

    i also do a fitness class on fridays, depending on what time i can get someone to watch my son, its either aqua aerobics, spinning or boxercise.

    i'm also all about the gym!! i love it!!! i get a bit bored some nights if theres no one there, but i just feel so good about it!!!
