Can An Old Dog Learn New Tricks?

  • I'm such a foodie. I've been overweight most of the last 10 years, since I hit my 40's. I did WW about 12 yrs ago but after a yr I started gaining it back. Now I'm 5'4" and 175 lb. I was up to 182 a few mths ago and was really feeling uncomfortable with hardly any of my clothes fitting and having lots of reflux attacks. I can't ignore it anymore and need to find a healthier way to eat and a way to work some exercise into my life. I joined here quite awhile ago but never got into it. I hope this time I can be determined enough to keep at it. I hope that by joining in here it will help me keep my resolve to get fit. My goal is 30 lbs but more importantly I want to learn how to eat in a more healthy but enjoyable way. I'm glad to be here.
  • Hi Rae. Welcome.
  • Rae. You absolutely CAN do this. I started this journey at 50. It really can be done!

Stick around, because 3FC IS a great resource for help, support, and accountability!

I look forward to reading your posts!

  • Well. your story sounds a lot like mine. I actually joined 3FC in 2006 but did practically nothing for the next year. I lost a few, regained and lost a few again, It was a full year before I gave it a 100% effort and have now been at goal for 20 months. You can get started right away and be healthier and way less, too. Good Luck ! Don't wait a year !!!
