Hello all! Another newbie to 3FC :-)

  • Hi! I'm Amanda and I have just turned 24. I will be going on job interviews this spring and would like to lose the college weight that looks so lovely on me. I was about 140 when I graduated HS in 2003 and I am currently 180. My goal is about 150, but I'd love to get back to the pre-college weight. Possibly by Christmas?

    I had a friend give me their "Hip Hop Abs" DVDs, and I've tried them for a couple of days. I actually kind of like them, but I wondered if anyone else has tried them or any other Beachbody products? So far I'm also using a computer application that records my caloric intake and exercise called CalorieKing. Any comments on what the best app is?

    I know that basically I need to eat better, eat less, and move more. Any other ideas that may help? Thanks!

    For tracking my food/drink intake and exercise, I use sparkpeople.com and I love it

    My main advice is to get on a plan, stay focused, stay determined, stay committed and remember that only YOU control if YOU succeed or fail.

    Welcome to 3FC.
    Lots of people use either Fitday.com or Dailyplate.com to count calories. I don't bother.
    I do have the Hip Hop Abs DVD (got it as a bonus from somebody but I haven't tried it yet). You asked about BeachBody - i am currently doing P90X .
