First Time

  • Hello. I have been lurking for awhile and this is my first post! I am 45 and overweight for the first time in my life. I did Weight Watchers (the exchanges and loved it) after my first child to lose 10 pounds and LA Weight Loss after my second to lose 15 (hated it, I was mean and found out I can't do low carb). I kept the weight off for years, until my early 40s, then BAM. I've now got 20 or so to lose (and I'm short at 5'1") and while I hate the way I look and feel, I can't seem to find the motivation needed to stick with anything. I started the medifast diet but found out I'm allergic to soy (hives, exzema, tongue swelling, GI issues) which was pretty much everything on the diet. I have had days of success here and there with calorie counting (sticking to 1500) and I think this is how I want to do it this time. I just need to motivation to get back to exercising and to stick with it! I'm hoping that joining here will help!
