Weight Watchers points

  • I'm not doing wieght watchers anymore but when i was my boyfriend was shocked cos i was only allowed 18 points a day, he said that was crazy cos his mum had been on 24, i mentioned that was because she was heavier, taller and older than me but he still thought 18 was ridiculously low, even for a 10 st, 5'2, 20 year old. So if you do weight watchers, how many points are you on and do you know anyone who is on under 20 points per day?
  • I am currently on 22 a day, but I know a lot of people who are on 18 or 19 because of their weight, age, or activity level.
  • Im on 23 to 24 points a day. I don't think i could live on only 18, you may be surprised, if you raise your points you may lose more!
p.s i just moved from fall river! (im assuming somerset, ma...)
  • Can I just point out (No pun!)that the way US points are calculated is different to the way our points here in UK are calculated. That applies to points in food as well as daily points allowance. I am assuming that the OP is in Somerset, England as this was posted on the UK area of the forum.

I just double checked in my WW pack (from one of the 5948548598483 times I did WW!) and according to the book, a 10st, 5'2", 20 year old woman who is mostly sedentary in her job/daytime activity is allowed 19 points.
When you get to 21 you actually get less points for age. So if you're now 21 and still weigh 10st and are still sedentary in your job, then your total is 18 points.
It does seem very low. When I did WW I was on 24 points a day but I'm a bit taller than you are, I'm much heavier, and I'm more active in the daytime.
