It has to go!!

  • Hi guys, I am here because I am addicted to any and all junk imaginable but my true passion is coke. That delicious tasty treat over the years has helped me gain some serious poundage. What started off as a harmless can here or there turned into a 2 liter a day. If you are going to drink the bad for you coke you might as well eat the yummy stuff too. If it was fried it had my name on it. I tried all the crash diets and pills out there with some help and then boom blob central again. So now I have decided that it is time to get rid of the yuckies and go for the good. I wont drop the soda immediately but I will wean myself from it so I don't become sick. It is time to go from 216 to a beautiful 130ish. I am thinking to help with my goal I am going to go to the store tomorrow and buy a pair of capri's I have been looking at in the size I would like to be and hang them up where I can see them every morning. I am also going to post a picture of my fat self on the fridge and a pic of the pants right next to it. That has to be a motivator! I hope...lol I can't wait to hear about everyones stories and check out some of the neat posts in here. Yeah I will not be a fat chick forever!

  • ohhhh I feel you, honey! I was also a Coke addict. Still am, actually. I haven't said, "You can't have this anymore," but I do keep postponing myself from indulging in it - I can have it whenever I want, so do I really need/want those 130 calories right now?? Maybe in 5 minutes? Maybe after dinner? Before I know it, I've gone a week between! I've also become a big fan of the 3 sips rule, when my brother or friends order Cokes at restaurants. A couple sips is sometimes enough for great delight, but I don't need to sit there and drink a whole one myself.

    And I'm trying to break myself of the "I Always Have Coke With Such-and-Such Food" habit - although some of those foods are ones I'm giving up, too!

  • I used to drink a whole lot of soda myself. I never banned myself from it but I limited my consumption by not having it in my house. I only drink it when I go out to eat (which is kind of a lot still, ha.. but I'm working on it)
  • Thanks for making me feel so welcomed here guys. I loved reading what you guys said about coke. I am just glad I am not the only one addicted to the stuff. I have to give your tricks a try to see if they will work for me. I also have to figure out how to get one of those diet counters. I would love to be able to see my goal like that..it really gives you a sense of what your doing. Smiles
