10 Pounds!

  • I'm cautiously claiming 10 pounds gone!!

I had been in a plateau of ~174 since July 7th! And last week I took Jendiet's advice on calorie cycling and used the Fat Loss Cycle from here: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/cal...alculator.htm#

Some days it was a struggle to get up to the high intake of calories, and on Friday I had to resort to buying heavy cream for my pasta dish I was making but I was determined to follow it.

And today I am down to 172!

Yay for zumba and biking and hiking and yoga and eating well and for heavy cream which caused the weight to come off finally! (not sure about that last part, but hey, it could have been.) And yay me!!

And big thanks to Jendiet for turning me on to calorie cycling!
  • Congrats! Keep it up =D
  • Woooooo!!! That is awesome! Congrats
  • That's awesome!!
  • That's fantastic! Congrats!
  • wow! darling I am so happy for you, but don't thank me! you put in all the hard work, you also heard some advice and you decided to try it, So the effort all came from you! I am so happy for you.

And it's not really my advice, there is a common thread for people on a plateau that are successful in getting out of it, that is raising their calories.

I'm taking the same advice to get off my plateau.
  • Gratz!
  • Congratulations !

  • Good for you!
  • Yay you is right Congratulations!!!!!

And I didn't see that original post for that web site, so thanks for posting.... it really has some different information than other sites I've used, notably:
    1. Caloric intake allowance goes down if you have high body fat
    2. It has a quick test to determine frame size, from which ideal weight is estimated.

Both of these are not really welcome information for me, though! I now have confirmation that I am a "small frame," which means my ideal weight is way lower than I imagined (hoped?) it to be: 121 to 125
AND my current high body fat means that the estimated fat-loss calories dropped by almost 100 calories/day.

But enough about me - awesome news about breaking through your plateau!
Thanks for the inspiration to incorporate some calorie-cycling...
  • Awesome!
  • Congratulations!!! Keep up the great work.
