I went into Parisian today to get a new bra because my 40D is now swimming on me.... and 38C and 40C fit me so I went with 38C since I'll be shrinking with it.. and then I saw the clothes. Oh the clothes! Oh how they taunt me! Adorable pink plaid long shirts, cute ruffle skirts... I wanted so many things. I wanted them so bad.
But I can't. They won't fit me in 15 pounds and I would have wasted my money. The Salvation Army is about the only place I can get clothes that fit NOW without wasting money.

God I want some clothes. Never in my life did I ever care what I looked like, but in the last year, now that I've opened my EYES I see SO MANY CUTE CLOTHES. And now that I'm finally paying attention to them I can't get them... since they'll be big on me soon.

I don't mind losing weight slowly, but this is something that is EXTREMELY hard for me. Because I don't care if I'm lighter or heavier, I want cute clothes NOW. But I don't want to waste money. *sigh*

Also, by the way this is a little OT but... I really like the look of juniors clothing so I mainly only find things I like in the juniors department, but I realize the clothing doesn't fit women's bodies as well and the quality is a bit lower.. but everything in the adult section is so... BORING to me. Is there any stores you guys know where the women's clothing actually looks more trendy? Not trendy in a I'm-10-years-old kind of way, but just more hip and cute. I am SO bored by the misses section overall.

If you really like something you can buy it and take it to a tailor and see how hard it would be to take in after you lose maybe 10-15 more pounds.

Some items are easier to take in than others depending on the construction but if you like something well enough it'd be worth looking into. And if they say it's too complicated you can just return it.

To dress up your wardrobe, you can always use accessories to jazz up seemingly "plain" clothes! Funky jewelry, scarves, hats, etc. can add a lot to an outfit, so you won't have to sacrifice quality or fit for style. Every woman needs certain basics....a black dress, a nice pair of trousers, a button down collared shirt....which can be boring, but you can adjust pieces to match your own style by wearing them in a way that better reflects "you"

Don't forget about hair and makeup too!

I sell AVON and have found some cute things in the Mark catalog.....I love some of the cute clothes at Victoria Secret too. Other than that....I don't shop a lot for clothing, but as I get smaller....I TOO WANT!!!! LOL

For ladies clothing try Cache' or Bebe....also, I own several Jr. pieces of clothing I own..the main thing is that you don't want to look like you are trying too hard..because of the way I am shaped, many Jr. items fit me very well....just try, try, try..thats all I can say! Have fun! IT IS FUN!

Hmm.. I like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Burlington Coat Factory - there's a lot of cuter clothing at those stores with more variety. I still buy juniors clothing from some stores (macy's) - but these stores have a good variety of less-expensive, cute clothing.

H&M!!! super cheap clothes there - quality could be better, but they're good. most of my 20-something girlfriends shop there for the low prices, mix-and-matchability, and being stylish without being kiddy or frumpy. good luck!!

God, I know exactly what you mean. I did a dumb thing a few months ago... went and spent like $200 on some clothes that I really shouldn't have, but figured that since I got a size smaller that I would have normally gotten... it would account for my weight loss.

Passed that already, and they're already getting too big.

I've totally had to put a limit on myself when it comes to clothes. I only allow myself to buy things that are flexible and will go with several different body sizes, no matter which way I go (which I hope is down!!!) lol

Gah, I completely agree and am having similar problems.

I start grad school in a month, and want some nice clothes to wear when I start (first impressions and whatnot), but I also don't want to spend a bunch of money on clothes that won't fit me a month later.

Yesterday I was wearing an outfit that looked great on me a month ago, and then I looked in the mirror and realized I looked ridiculous because both the shirt and skirt were just too big. It's exciting, but so frustrating!

Anyway, I'm going to go shopping today and look for some cheap clothes on sale that look decent and fit me properly. Wish me luck!

I'm with minitwinkie - H&M - they have cute clothes, are inexpensive, and they have really good sales. Also, I'm a fan of Express and NY&Co - the clothes are more expensive than H&M on the base level, but NY&Co has AWESOME sales fairly often.

I bought all my clothes at Goodwill, Salvation Army and Savers while I was losing BUT when I got to goal I went on a major shopping spree at the mall and now have more clothes than I need. When I was overweight I usually wore sweats or elastic waist slacks and other ugly stuff. It is worth the wait to to get a new wardrobe. Something to look forward to,

Chiming in with the accessories suggestion. You definitely won't shrink out of them, plus they make even the most boring outfits more exciting. I wear plain white vneck t-shirts and jcrew shorts constantly. But colorful scarfs/belts/jewelry make everything more fun. Plus once you do get down to the size you want to be, you'll automatically look more stylish with all your classic accessories.

Oh.....and accessories make EXCELLENT goal gifts to yourself. I love getting something beautiful. According to a couple different sites and my Mark catalog purple is the NEW it color for fall. I have my eye on some gorgeous amethyst necklaces. I get a discount and it may be my downfall!!!!

Ooh great! I don't own that much purple stuff. Lately I've realized that far too much of what I own is blue, which I don't really think is my best color. As a brown eyed brunette I love love love the fall, because I'm definitely a warmer colors person, and fall clothes tend to be nice and rich in color.
