Doctor's Orders

  • Last week, I had my annual physical. My weight was up again. I was almost at 300 pounds. My doctor told me (again!) that I had to lose weight or face some serious health problems. He said that I need to watch what I eat - and EXERCISE for forty-five minutes to an hour every day.

    I have lost six pounds this past week by being careful about what I eat and by walking/swimming - but, have a LONG way to go!
    So, I am trying to do everything I can to finally get healthy. Hopefully, joining this forum will be another thing to help me!

    We have a TON of places for you to jump right into. We have forums by eating plan (calorie counting, south beach, whole foods, really almost anything!), by age range, and by amount to lose...you may want to check out our 100 lb club, for those with 100 lbs to lose or more.

    Wherever you settle, just jump on in and get to posting wherever you feel comfortable.

  • Hello and Welcome!! Great advice from your doctor and should follow his advice..especially the exercise part. You can do this!! on your 6 Lbs loss!!! Keep it going!!
