I feel you there, sister. When I was overweight, I wore the same five outfits in rotation if I wanted to be stylish. Otherwise, I wore huge, baggy t-shirts, sweat pants, and jeans with multiple unintentional holes... oh, and, uh, men's clothing. I was really big on men's clothing when I had that extra padding.
Now, I have a huge bag of stylish men's clothing that I really should give to Goodwill... as for my other notoriously frumpy clothes, I either threw 'em away or used them as cleaning rags. If I had no clean towels, sometimes I'd use them as a replacement.
As for being embarrassed, uh, have you SEEN some of the clothes at Goodwill lately? You have NOTHING to be ashamed of! Every time I shop at Goodwill, I will cringe multiple times at some of the hideous things on the racks, silently muttering "tsk tsk" and wondering what posessed someone to actually spend the money to buy those things new?
