Your personal hunger trend

  • Hi Guys! I was wondering what you guys face everyday in regards you your hunger trend and how you try to "work with yourself."

    I tend to be so hungry in the morning and try to get a really good breakfast (about 5 points which is 1/5 of my daily intake)] At my work I dont really have a "lunch break" so I just snack all day every 3 hours. On the drive home (1hr) I try to eat a low point snack (cucumber or carrots) so I am not hungry when I get home which is around 2 in the afternoon. Then I wait till dinner which is easy....its after dinner that I am starving and just have to go to bed or I would eat the house!!

    I find it hard because I am up at 4am every morning to go to work and my boyfriend and I dont usually go to bed till 11pm....so that is a lot of day hours compared to the normal person! Much more time to eat and be HUNGRY!
  • I think it's great if you can learn to listen to your body.

    No matter what I eat for breakfast (around 7am), I get hungry by 10:30 am, so I plan to snack. But, I don't usually get hungry in the afternoon, so I don't need to snack. I may have carrots or celery or something just because I like crunch, but I don't need anything.

    At different times, I've thought about eating 3 meals without snacking; or doing the every 3 hours thing. But, neither is quite right for me. I need my morning snack, and I don't need an afternoon snack.

    So I say, go with whatever works well for you.
  • I'm not far off from you- I am up around 4.30 most days and I definitely know my trends! I eat a piece of fruit before.I leave the house, then my breakfast on the train between 7- 7.30, I have a latte at 9ish, another piece of fruit around 11, lunch at 12.30, snack at 3ish, then on the train home another snack so I'm not ravenous before dinner. After dinner I do not snack at all. I drink herbal tea or slightly fizzy water until I go to bed.

    People think I'm eating all day and, well, I am! But I do this to protect myself!
