Artificial sugar is a TRAP!

  • I went sugar-free, and it did WONDERS for me.

    Then I fell into the trap of chewing sugar-free gum. Chewing gum helped relieve boredom and suppressed my appetite, which was awesome, but I quickly became addicted to it, and I'd be chewing 8-10 sticks per DAY (4 per day if I were REALLY trying to control myself, but it was hard).

    Well, my sugar cravings came back. It was very very subtle, but I found myself binging--not just on sugars, but also on starches and salty foods--whereas before the gum habit I was binge-free.

    I decided to go cold-turkey with the gum (much easier than just cutting back, oddly enough) and, well...problem solved! No binging, no craving, and I don't really miss the gum =)

    Just remember, folks--artificial sugars can reignite your sugar cravings! Resist the temptation!
  • One of the best decisions I ever made was to give up artificial sugars 3 months ago. Kudos to you for doing it...twice!
  • Wow...I didnt know that the artificial sugars can cause those cravings....guess I just need to cut out ALL sugar items...this is hard for me..any advice? Also..how do you put those cute trackers on your posts?
