Hello from the Rockies!

  • I'm kind of late at joining as I'm very close to goal. I've been lurking for a long time though... definitely got some great tips from this site.

    I'm a former marathon runner who moved up high 3.5 yrs ago and stopped so much running, but remained active. This past winter, I switched jobs and focused solely on work. Even gave up my gym membership!
    I had great success workwise however, and once the snow melted and I had to get out of my fleece, boots and baggy pants, I discovered I'd gained at least 12 lbs from my normal weight. That's awful!

    So, I started counting calories, running, back to the gym and cleaned up my eating. I'm almost back to goal and feeling good. Now it's just my lifestyle and I won't be letting go of it, even when the snow starts falling once again.

    Planning to stick around here and get to know some of you!
  • Hi there, and welcome to 3FC! I think the Featherweights will be the perfect forum for you. It's full of people that have only a few pounds to lose. You may also want to check out the Maintainers Forum. All maintainers know it's as hard to keep it off as it is to lose it.
