My husband sleeps with a t-shirt over his eyes. He got into that habit when working in Antarctica, where the sunlight was 24/7 in summer. The women in my family sweat mostly from our foreheads. A t-shirt would suffocate me. I have eye things, the name of which escapes me at the moment. In Oklahoma or Florida, I'd just put foil over the windows when I had to sleep during the day. Here, no air conditioning, so the windows have to stay open. The funny thing is that people worried about me getting Seasonal Affective Disorder because of the dark in winter. We had periods during the summer where it was too hot to go outside during the day, so we came to life at night. I've had less trouble with the dark than I have had with the midnight sun.
