Starbuck drinkers, help please...

  • I recently started craving Starbucks coffee, thanks to the rampant 'Bucks drinkers at work, and Timmy's is just no longer cutting it. I bought myself my first regular coffee from Starbucks today, and was faced with a vexing problem that I hope you can help me with

For those of you who drink your coffee with cream or half and half in it...When you put the white stuff in your coffee, how do you make sure that you're only getting the equivalent of one creamer? Today I used no-fat milk, and it just wasn't the same as the usual one cream that I get at Timmy's.

    Thanks!
  • You could ask for a spoon at the counter, and then use that to measure in your cream.
  • Good idea! Thanks!
  • I say don't worry about it. A tablespoon of cream has about 20 calories, and you are not likely to put in more than one or two unless you really pour it in. It's just not enough calories to make or break your day. Think about it - the calories in a piece of fruit varies every time. You just can't control every last calorie.

But.... you could measure it once and try to remember the color. Or remember the taste. And then pour very, very slowly....
  • Thanks for the information, Aurora! That makes sense!
  • I love starbucks mocha light frappachino... for WW people... a small is 2 points!
  • Oooh, I love me some Starbucks! Mine's a tall, nonfat, extra-hot latte for 100 calories, 2 points. It feels like having a treat every time, and it's filling.

ETA: Sorry, that's not much help to the OP but I got all excited when I read "Starbucks..."
  • I thought atleast a few people on this board would get excited when they saw Starbucks, that's why I posted my question here

I LOVE the skinny lattes, too! I'm trying to get myself drinking more regular coffee, though, and less fancy stuff.

Fressca - What kind of latte do you get?
  • starbucks.... drool..... i've been craving it like no other this week!
  • [QUOTE=just_a_dreamy1;2813604Fressca - What kind of latte do you get?[/QUOTE]

My latte is pretty plain - tall, non-fat, extra hot, loads of cinnamon on top. The "extra hot" part helps it last longer!
  • Hmm, I'll have to try that!
  • I always order a venti iced skinny sugar free caramel latte, light ice. Try saying that 3 times fast lol!

!!! That's my order! (Only I usually just get a tall or grande, and I've never asked for light ice). I like your taste in coffee! haha
