Super Filling Breakfast

  • When I went to bed last night, I was hungry and when I woke up this morning, I was super hungry. So I made a breakfast that I had saw on a foodie blog, which was wheat toast with peanut butter and banana on top. I made two slices, and split a serving of peanut butter over them and popped the banana on top.

I am full after one slice. I ate dinner last night at 4:30pm and ate a plum last night. I can't believe how satisfied I am right now. From now on, I'll start making one slice of toast with half a serving of peanut butter.

but I'll eat the entire banana!! LOL!
  • I know some people avoid/limit bananas because they're sort of high in sugar, but I always find them really filling! And peanut butter is super filling, with all the protein and healthy fat in it. I've eaten a PB and banana sandwich for dinner before when I'm too lazy or too busy to cook anything.
  • Bananas are one of my all time fave fruits. I could never give those babies up!
  • I eat peanut butter and bananna on a low carb tortilla. It is super filling.
  • I put a spoonful of almond butter on a plate, microwave it for 30 seconds, slice a banana on top, and drizzle with honey -- YUM... (works equally well with PB)

I think bananas are great food - tasty, portable, convenient. I just try to buy the bunches with smaller rather than larger bananas.
  • Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are the best!!!! And yes - so very filling!
  • Very filling indeed!

Even as a kid, peanut butter and banana sandwiches were my favorite!
  • Bananas are one of nature's perfert foods.
  • I LOVE p butter & banana bagels (low calorie, high fiber) and oatmeal. Usually the banana adds just the right amount of sweetness, but if I need a bit more, I'll add a drizzle of honey. YUM!
  • Sounds like a great breakfast!

Since we're talking about bananas, I thought I'd one of my favorites, too.

I find that fiber helps me several different ways, but I have difficulty getting enough in my diet. So, to help, I try to eat Kelloggs All Bran several times a week. One of the easiest ways to eat it is to slice a banana up and sprinkle the cereal over the banana and to eat it with a spoon.

It's really good and less than 200 calories!
  • I eat a banana every morning on my cereal and it keeps me full all morning. Sometimes at noon I'll eat 2 Tablespoons PB2 (dehydrated peanut butter you mix up yourself with a little water, has only 53.2 calories, 3% total fat) on a lite Flat out, sliced banana and lots of lettuce. Bananas are so filling, there're worth the calories.
If anyone is interested in the PB2, you can just google it and read all about it. It's made in Tifton, Ga.....Bell Plantation. They have a high standard, they emailed me awhile ago when we had the contaminated peanut butter scare and said they grow their own peanuts. Very Safe to eat.
