Water weight fluctuations are making me crazy

  • So this week I've been stuck first my weight was up to like 173.5 than it went back down to 172 and than back to 173...I know its just a few lbs but I am so ready to be OUT of the 170's and this is driving me nuts. Before when I was losing weight it was up and down a little but mostly it seemed constant. I'm trying to cut out alot of sodium and sugars but is there anything else I can do to try and battle this obvious water weight problem? I'm going crazy....
  • WELCOME TO MY WORLD! I have been battling this for weeks now and Ive decided to not weigh myself for a week and see what that does. But although I say that, the first thing I did this morning was jump on the scale. I cant help it! I just cant stand not knowing! Cause it makes me so happy to see a drop, but it makes me FRIGGING CRAZY to know Ive been working so hard, exercising out in this horrendous KY heat, staying on plan and just giving it my all....to see an increase just makes me depressed and well, nuts!

Maybe we should just stay away from the scale for a week at a time. At least that is what Im gonna aim for.. good luck!
  • I hear ya- I have been from 212-214 forever and it's driving me insane!

To top it all off- tonight's my 4 yr anniversary my husband's taking me out- then tomorrow I'm having dinner with a friend OUT, then Sunday my husband's aunt is coming from out of state and wanting to take us out for MEXICAN! I'm like maybe if I up the workouts I can HOPEFULLY not gain any weight! *cry*
  • right there with yas. Bouncing between the same two pounds for two weeks now. Hopefully it'll be over soon and I'll finally see the drop. It is frustrating though.
  • Yeah it deff is! Ugh... thanks girls I am glad I am not alone in this frustration!!!
  • I don't know what's up with my body, but I've been fluctuating about 7 lbs or so lately. I weigh myself about twice a week. It's so frustrating to see myself getting lowing, then a few days later way back up.
  • It could be the type of scales you are using, I never trust the scales you buy at like walmart I only weigh myself at the gym at the same time every saturday and that's the weight that counts. My friend has a biggest loser brand scale at home that always tells me I'm like 2-5lbs less.
  • As long as you're using the same scale and similar weight clothes everyday, you should be getting an accurate change in weight on just about any scale.
