I used to watch Inside Brookhaven and wonder "How could they not notice before it got to that point?" But, I've done the same thing. I ignored the tight pants, the unflattering pics, and even the scale. But when I came across the instruction manual for my scale and re-discovered it measured body fat, I was in for an unpleasant surprise.
I'm 37, I'm 5'5", and I weigh 156.6. My 35% body fat puts me in the "obese" category. And that's really not where I wanna be. So I'm going to have to find ways to move more and eat less. Possible obstacles: a shoulder injury that sometimes makes exercise uncomfortable (but not impossible!), a fondness for food, a tendency to be lazy, a boyfriend who cooks, and a heat index of over 100 in this hot 'n' humid town!
This looks like a really good place to start. I'm hoping to get down to 25% body fat, which I think will put me at about 140. Looking at the numbers, it's not much, but...
