Stupid Milkshake...

  • So, I was at my lowest weight this morning (157.4, yay!), had a healthy breakfast and lunch, and my boss brought me a milkshake at lunch!!!

Well, I drank it (and it was DELISH-the good homemade kind, small, chocolate) and now I am feeling terribly guilty...

The worst part is, I have to go to a Charity Golf Banquet (again, for work) tonight where there is going to be tons of food and booze...

Why do days just suck sometimes?!?!
  • Ya days like that do suck and they happen and they are all part of the journey.

Remember that just because you're going to go over your normal number of calories today, IT IS NOT A FREE FOR ALL. Enjoy, but eat moderately.
  • Just be good tonight and don't beat yourself up! I had ice cream for the first time in months a few weeks ago... and the next day I was DOWN a pound. So you never know, really.
  • I absolutely hate days like that.. I work in a doctors office and there is always food that somebody brought, or a patient brought in for us.. its awful.. I worked last saturday and one of the ladies brought donuts for everyone and of course I hadn't had had breakfast so I was starvinggg. and of course I had one.. I feel your pain!
  • Since there will be a lot of yummy food tonight, just have a bite of anything that looks good to you. Or resolve to only have one helping of a certain number of dishes. Either way, try to determine what you'd prefer to do before you get there and then just stick to it. Don't worry too much about your milkshake this afternoon, it's already done.. so just keep looking forward.
  • thanks girls!!!

so last night went pretty good. indulged a bit, but was fairly under control. this morning was up one pound, but with the salty restaurant food and the 2 glasses of white wine, i'm sure it's water weight and should be gone tomorrow!

thanks for helping me not stress! i have a tendancy to beat myself up over little things like this and it's nice to know i'm not alone when it comes to making bad food choices...just need to do better the next time!
  • congrats on being at your lowest weight! you rock! one milkshake won't ruin that- if it was an every day thing then you might want to kick yourself a bit

    keep up the good work!
  • Isn't that always the case? Everytime you have been eating clean and oneday away from reaching a mini landmark weight something comes along to ruin it. I hate those days. But it's okay. Just do an extra hour of cardio this week and it would be like that milkshake never even happen. It will be our little secret.
