Sorry if this is a frequent disscusion. I didn't see it in the FAQs.
I just downloaded a calorie counting app on my iPhone. It has me set at 1600 calories a day. I put in my workout (350 calories) and it "gives" me those calories back. So I am at 1950. Should I do that? Or should I still eat the 1600 no matter if I worked out or not? Any input is welcomed!!

every other calorie calculator has said i should have between 1400 and 1700 depending on how much weight i want to lose and how fast... my bmr is about 1,575 and in order to lose 2 lbs per week (if you keep in mind that -3,500 cals is 1 lb lost) i need a 1,000 cal deficit every day. i dont exercise that hard but on a typical day i would say i burn about 300-500 cals. even if i "eat back" my exercise cals, eating 1,200 still gives me like a 2,000 cal deficit right? i am just confused why this app says i should eat so little and as i have read on here, where will my calories go when/if i hit a plateau??
