Too many black olives?

  • I happen to love black olives and they are in the acceptable foods lift for induction. If I'm low on veggie carbs I snack on them quite a bit. Can I have too many of them? It seems like cheating because they're not green and I love them!

I have been stalled for about a week but I also have been drinking diet soda with aspartame that is fruit flavored so I'm thinking that may have something to do with it. Also started my birth control up. Also had the week from **** at work and found myself sitting at my computer when I should have been eating a scheduled meal. Sooo... lots of factors could be contributing to my stall but I was wondering if black olives are a guilty pleasure or if they are real veggie carbs?

And one more dummy question - I tend to count my carbs like I add up my grocery shopping bill ( I round up to make sure I don't go over) - is there a danger with having less than 20 carbs?

Since I can't afford a personal dietitian, lol, I'm hoping someone has some feedback on some of my many, many questions!
  • Yes, you can eat too much of anything. Black olives are great but they do have a significant amount of fat and calories so you don't want to overdo it.
  • Each day you can eat the following, but add to your carb count:
10 green olives or 6 black olives

weird because green olives (or the ones i had anyway) had more carbs than the black! but good stats to know. thanks!
  • not to mention sodium! you don't want to get to much sodium in your diet!
  • i was actually surprised to see black olives on the phase one as acceptable.
