I guess I qualify now?

  • Hi featherweights...

I am right on the brink of those "last 10 lbs"... so I guess I am going to qualify for featherweight status. Pretty exciting... I don't know if I ever really believed I could get this close.

I really think 130 is going to be a good weight for me. I wanted 125, but both my mom and husband think I am going to be too skinny, because I really am big boned (lol, I am not "just saying that"... honestly, I have the biggest rib cage ever)... 135 is the very top of the "healthy weight" range for my height... so I figured 130 was a nice compromise.

    Well, onward and downward, right?

P.S. How long did it take you guys to drop your last 10 lbs?
  • Hi LittleMoonRabbit, I have been made very welcome with 21.8 pounds to go.
  • I have less than ten pounds to go now...but it's painfully slow. Welcome!
  • Welcome LMR. I would like to be down -5. It is painfully slow but wow! do I feel good. I am glad you are here. I have lost about ten pounds in the last three months.

My rib cage is gigantic too!

Anyone gonna wear a bikini this season?
  • Bikini - no way! I had three children, and my bikini days are well behind me. I do have two tankinis that I will wear...the long top covers my stretch marks.
  • OH NO--don't tell me that. I have had two kids AND stretch marks. I bought a bikini yesterday. LOL--I didn't think I could wear one but after going to the pool a few times this last week--YEP, I CAN wear one as compared to many of the lady's up there. LOL...My bikini is a VERY modest one. It has a full cut bottom that ties at the side and a conservative top--not the stringy, triangle one! The way it fits none of my stretch marks show. I am hoping I will feel good in it poolside.
  • Welcome! I have about 15 or so more pounds to lose. It's been a bit of a struggle, but i feel great. I also have a giant ribcage
  • Thighs BG -- You are probably a young Chick...I am an oldish Hen (will be 54 in September) so sadly, my bikini days are looooong gone!!!!
  • I would love to wear a bikini this season... I have never worn one before. I have a 2-piece bathing suit now, but I always wear a big ol' wrap around the bottom because my butt and thighs have always been my problem area. However... it seems that I have lost much of my weight from there first, so I am actually more hourglass shaped now. We'll see. I still probably *shouldn't* wear a bikini until I get to goal weight... but I may just throw one on for the heck of it and say "why not"?
