Some of my Mini-Goals

  • Hey y'all.

    I mentioned in June's weight loss thread the other day how much mini-goals freak me out.

    So, here I am, creating a thread dedicated to some of my mini-goals.


    I think I'll do some weight-loss mini goals in 10-pound increments. I'm coming up on my first one in just 2.6 pounds; I'm hoping to meet that by June 10th.



    ONEderland is currently 28.2 pounds away.
    I'm going to put this as a 4-month goal . . . by the end of September.



    One of my somewhat mini-goals is to swim 1 mile. A swim buddy and I are planning this for the end of this year.

    So, one of my current mini-goals as it relates to swimming is to be able to swim 2 complete laps (up and back, twice) without stopping. I have great endurance in Aqualogix class; but when it comes to lap-swimming, I don't.

  • I think those are some great mini-goals which are very do-able. Weight related goals can be a little tricky but with determination and dedication...you can achieve them. Also, your excersize goals are great! Very attainable. I think you will succeed at both of these goals you have.

    I think i will break my goals down into mini-goals too. I want to lose 5 pounds (preferrably in one month) and also work out at least 9 hours in one week (that's actual gym time...not counting the walking and all i will be doing friday/saturday and sunday on vacation this week).
