So I've decided to break out Ye Olde Pedometer again and try to work my way up to 10,000 steps. It's about 5 mi/day. Last time I tried, I got myself up to 7,000 and then left my pedometer at my brother's house in Arizona. Oops. This time, I have 2 of them for when I'm an idiot and leave one somewhere.
Here's the plan:
1) Record your steps daily for a week during regular activities.
2) After the 1st week, find the average number of steps you take in a day.
3) First day's goal = average + 500.
4) For each day, add 500 to the previous day to create the new goal until you reach 10,000 steps.
Anyone wanna join me?
*if you're looking for a pedometer and you're anything like me, it's best to go with the cheaper ones. Somehow I always manage to put them through the wash, drop them in the lake, or get thrown into the pool while wearing it. When I only pay $10 for it, I don't mind as much
