So this is a weird question, but I was wondering, since I have been fat forever lol, I dont remember how much I weighed when I was able to fit into a rollercoaster, so I was wondering, roughly how much do I need to lose to fit into one?..or..what weight are some of those who can fit them now?
I weigh 336, Im like, 5' 9". Any insight would be appreciated!

All coasters are different, Cedar Point has guidelines that state females over 200 pounds or a size 18 may not fit in the coaster restraints. Take that with a grain of salt even a tiny person who is big chested will not fit in most seats. They usually have a sample seat at the entrance you can sit in and see if you fit before you wait in the long lines. Hope that helps

I have not rode one since I was a young teen..cause I too have been obese for a long time..BUT I know on the news there have been people that have fallen out and died because although they "fit" they were really to large to be on them. So for now, I am staying clear of them

It really does depend. I can't remember how much I weighed when I went on the matterhorn at Disneyland but the only reason my husband and I fit into the 2 seater is because he is super skinny. I think I might've been around 280 at the time? I would've fit by myself in the 2 seater though.

I went on some roller coasters recently with a weight of 210 and I had no issue at all and had plenty of room. I'm 5'6".

I was 220ish and big busted last time I rode a roller coaster and I was squished and praying I wouldn't fall out lol

The last time i rode one i was in high school.. I graduated H.S. at 280 lbs.. and i still fit, just really snug. I'm 5'8.... I'm hoping for the day i can fit back in a seat (hopefully by the time my girls are old enough to ride).

Last time I rode I was about 250lbs and it was at Busch Gardens in Tampa...the only one that I almost didn't fit into was the gwazi (the wooden coaster).

I had to do the walk of shame at one coaster at Magic Mountain but could ride the others. However, I was only about 250 back then. Honestly, I would be prepared not to fit if you carry the weight in your chest or belly like I do.
However, some have had good experiences 300+.

RESTRAINT SYSTEMS

Safety is number one at Cedar Point. All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seat belts, must be positioned, fastened and tightened to allow guests to ride. We are required by the State of Ohio to enforce all manufacturer requirements.

Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, men who exceed 6’2”, or those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40” waistline or 52” chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions so it is not possible to list exact size and weight.

Our larger guests may experience difficulty on Blue Streak, Chaos, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Mine Ride, Power Tower, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster, Wave Swinger, Wicked Twister.

Maximum recommended weight limits are posted on many rides including Camp Snoopy rides, Chaos, Monster, Planet Snoopy rides, Scrambler, Skyscraper, Super Himalaya, Troika, Wave Swinger, RipCord and most Soak City attractions.

You may enter the ride via the exit to ensure the restraints function properly prior to waiting in line. We have test seats at Maverick, maXair, Millennium Force, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister.
