I got engaged this year and also just graduated at the end of April. It has been the toughest journey to go to school full-time, work full-time, and also have to intern full-time. I am glad the school part is over but now I face a new challenge- working on my body.
When I met my fiance, who is 22, I was about 115 pounds and now I am 150 pounds just 3 years later. It's pretty embarassing having a fiance who is skinnier than you. Not to mention he only has not body fat. I feel that I've let him down as well as myself. I've tried so many diets but find myself caught up in just picking up something on the run. Now that I have the time to focus on myself I hope that I can lose at least 40 pounds and have the body that I've always wanted!
I definitely know that it will be hard since 1) I live a stressful life with too many personal issues (such as finding a teaching career in this recession to pay off student loans) , 2) I don't know how to cook, 3) I don't have the money for a gym membership, and 4) I don't eat salad. I am hoping that by joining this site, I can learn from others and become positively motivated!
