I love to marinade chicken breasts in italian dressing before I grill them. How do you count marinades? Most of the dressing gets poured off so I'm not sure how much of it I actually ate.... help!
EDIT: I am looking for how to calculate points values, not calories! Thanks!
Just the marinade alone has how many calories?
I'd add the calories of marinade seperately and then estimate how much you didn't use and deduct those calories later.
I can think of 2 ways: use fat free Italian dressing which is 0 points per serving as a marinade. I personally would add 1 point onto the total, just to be safe, because we ALL know that multiple servings of a 0 point food can add up to more than 0 points...
The second way is to measure out, say 1 cup and lets say the 1 cup is 4 points. Then marinade the food. Then measure out the amount left over. Say you have 3/4 cup left, then you have used 1/4 cup or 1 point which I would add to the total points value of the food.
Hope this helps!
