slip-sliding away

  • I have not posted in eons -- 2 years ago I had lost 65 pounds but due to stress, new job, having to euthanize my beloved cat, I allowed some pounds to creep back on - 20 to be exact. I know I should be grateful more ugly fat hasn't returned, but it sure is discouraging because of all the hard work I put into it. Now that I am 53, it just seems to get harder to lose. Please offer me words of encouragement!!!! I don't want to give up.
  • Burgundy Hi there. If you would like, why not post with us on the 50 & 60 yr old board. We sure do understand that the weight does not easily leave our bodies. I think as we age we become more comfortable in our own skin but unfortunately so does the FAT. I understand how difficult it was for you to lose your pet, I too have had to deal with putting a pet down, my little dog. It was two years ago but I still miss
    her.
    "See" you soon.

  • Hi Burgandy! I say your post over on the general forum too. Why not join our Fiesty 50 & 60's thread as Slavika suggested. I'm new there too but it's a great group.
