  • Hi everyone! I've been lurking around all afternoon and I finally have built up the courage to introduce myself.

I highly, highly doubt that I will loose 100lbs, but I need to loose pretty damn close to that and I like this group so I hope you all enjoy my presence as much as I enjoy being here.

If you notice my title says, "For Him, For Us". That is to remind me why I'm doing this everyday. I have a very hard time doing things for "me", but when I look at them from the frame of mind for Him (my husband) and for (us) and our future family (no children yet) It is more motivation for myself.

So any tips for a Newbie?
  • Firstly, welcome to the community! There is a lot of great information and advice around the site...not to mention the top notch community.

My only advice would be to stop saying "I doubt" and start screaming "I will"
  • Welcome! Delphi is right. You CAN do it! Look around at the many fine examples of those who have lost that much. They are amazing! You can be one, too!
  • Welcome! This is a very awesome board I also agree....get can't, doubt, and any other word that creates a limit out of your vocabulary! You so can do it!!
  • Thank you Ladies! Oh I'm definetly in the I WILL!!!! Mood.

I just said I doubt about the 100lbs because that would make me 120...which I don't think I've been in like 15 years! LOL. I'll be satisfied with 145
  • Welcome to the board! I look forward to your posts.
  • Welcome! We're glad you've joined us.
  • Welcome, Gaea!
  • Welcome!! And good luck!!

One big thing that really helped me when I joined was coming to the site all the time. It was a huge part of being able to fend off those first few nights where I just didn't know what to do with myself without eating.
  • Welcome!
  • Welcome!!!
  • Welcome!!
  • Awww Thank you for the warm welcome!

    I'm alittle sad that I can't have a sig with a ticker
  • Welcome!
