No, not particularly a calorie counting thread but since this is where I post the most I figured I'd ask here. I have a digital scale and a regular one. The regular one is 4 lbs lighter than the digital one. The regular one I can adjust to be properly calibrated and start at zero, the digital one I can't. So, which would you believe?
Do you have any hand weights? Or even a pound of noodles or something that you are certain about the weight of. Try it on each scale and see. That's what I've done in the past.
I always use a Regular weight scale, Never a digital.. My family doctor said that to me especially if you weigh yourself more then 2x's a week.. He said the springs in the digital ones go bad very quick and it will tell you something different each time you get on after a while... I have found this to be true as well.. It is totally your preference but i would go for something other then a digital scale... just my opinion...
You may want to try weighing *yourself* while holding the weights. The reason why I say that is I think the errors can be exponential -- ie, a very low / not noticeable difference at low weights, with the error magnifying itself as the weight gets higher.
