Thin4Life - Week of 4/27/09

  • Hello, ladies

What a great weekend. Well, two more days and I'm headed to California (LA) for my aunt's and uncle's 50th anniversary. I think I told you I was their flower girl. I'm also going to sing a few songs they requested.

Stuff has really exploded at work (it figures) and I actually feel guilty taking 3 days of vacation. I have plenty of vacation. I guess it's better to be busy.

Last night I gave a talk about our little town's founders. It was very well-received, but they had these wonderful cookies and I ate too many. I just love sweets.

Weather here is great. I'm headed to a yoga class tonight which I really need. Still need to finish packing.

    How is everyone?
  • Good morning! It's a balmy 73 here this morning; yesterday we broke the record with a temp of 86! There are some storms heading our way so the temps are supposed to be cooler (60) tomorrow and the rest of the week. I like a gradual warm up as opposed to the quick one!

Lisa, I overate as well last night on tortilla chips! DS #2 bought a bag and of course my hand was in it more than a couple of times.

I wonder how Lori is doing...

I did get a leisurely stroll in yesterday at noon and this morning I was in early and decided to take advantage of that and squeeze in a walk before work. It felt good to get the cobwebs out of my head. We're heading into our busy time and I'm not at all ready for it. Add to that DS #2's graduation and that's really making things even more crazy!

We have another rugby tournament this weekend--this one is at home so I won't have far to travel. We're hoping the weather is going to be good but it's looking like it's going to be cool (55) and a chance of rain...I sure hope not!

I'm walking in the Relay for Life here on campus Friday night and am hoping we have good weather. The last couple of years it's rained.
  • Melissa, That's great that you've been out walking. There were some Relay for Life events here last week; lots of people got involved. Is this rugby time or what?

I didn't know that you DS#2 was graduating. Wow, you will soon have empty nest syndrome? Will he be going to college?
  • Lori You sure have a lot of energy for being prego. Wow! I've heard that women drink raspberry tea and that brings on the labor. Think it's an old wives tale.

Last day at work till next Tuesday--hooray. Of course, I'm working like a dog today to finish up all sorts of things.
  • Ooooohhhhh....sounds like nesting to me...I did something similar just before I had Mark.
