Bouncing

  • My weighday is Tuesday but I sneaked in an extra one today now that mommy's gone and I'm back to my own, strictly no additive food.
I've bounced up a pound but I'm merely noting the fact, because I've stuck strictly to plan all the time she was here.

Well yes, part of my plan is not to eat anything with additives and I did while she was here but another part of my plan is to experiment occasionally and see if even small amounts of processed stuff really does make a difference to my water retention.

And then, of course, there's my post-menopausal Flo.

So dutifully noting a pound but not recording it and just watching it. Day #89.
  • I weigh daily and the scale can be one cruel cruel mistress

Days you think you will be up you are down and vice versa. Even if I know I've had too much salt and that I might have retained a bit of water, I cringe a bit when I see the weight go up.

You might know rationally that it isn't really weight gain (fat), but you know emotionally that seeing a higher number sucks.

The good news is that pound will go away when the real weight loss catches up!
  • No. Definitely just watch. It will most likely be gone by Tuesday.
  • I take scale fluctuations in stride. If I stick to plan, I get results eventually.
  • It's the striding I'm practising.

I'm Very thirsty today, so maybe I had some hidden salt the last couple of days.
  • hidden salt totally. And I keep bouncing these days too! I stayed within a lb for like a week (up down up down) and now I've dropped four lbs in five days. *shrug* scales suck!
