For those of you with iphones

I do not have an iphone(no at&t where I live). But I know some of you on board do so wanted to pass on this success story.
  • i read the article what a cool application for your phone and very affordable too..... wish i had an iphone now lol..
  • I don't have an iPhone, but a friend of ours does, and sometimes I borrow it from him when we're out eating so I can enter my food on The Daily Plate before I forget. It's not very well designed for an iPhone, though, too much clicking, and last I saw the mobile version didn't work too well, maybe that's changed. I'd definitely want something like MyNetDiary if I did have an iPhone!
  • oh cool I wish WW would come out with something like that for us to use on iphones. It's a PIA sometimes getting on their mobile site. I do have an app for a ww diary to use with a ww calculator on it but it'd be cool if we could search for food to get their value too!
  • There are a few great free weight loss apps for the iphone, in addition to paid ones like MyNetDiary. My DH uses LoseIt to track his calories and has lost about 30lbs.

For those who are on WW there are a ton of point calculators and point trackers, both free and paid.

The iphone has been a great tool for us to make smart calorie & restaurant choices.

  • I just ordered my iPhone! I can't wait.
  • For those on a budget, remember that these programs also run on an iPod Touch. It's basically the same as an iPhone without the "phone" part (i.e., no need to pay $50 to keep it). I use it to keep music to run to, the time-killing game every now and then, and cool applications like this to watch weight.
  • I use the Daily Plate app and it's totally different than the mobile site. It's relatively easy to use as long as you are just entering in foods that you usually eat. It gets a little tedious searching through all the entries if its a new item, so I usually wait until I get home to enter whatever that food item was.

I like it because it's always in my pocket and I have no excuse not to enter something!
