Today is my kids last friday of the school year.Next week they go until Wednesday. Then Ill expect my grocery bill to jump $$$..LOL!

We went to the carnival last night and I didnt have anything I let the kids get their treats and I waited until after and went to Subway and got myself a chicken sandwich for supper instead of carnival foods It was tough tho...

I did it!! I did it! I lost 2 pounds today and am in the black again.
I'm tired of having my weight in the red.

I noticed that some of you had good losses this week also. Crazy4carbs, Eleni, Wendy and Sherri, weigh to go, girls. Keep up the good work.

Crazy4, great job with not eating at the carnival. Sometimes it hard to eat sensible, but the reward of having a weight loss is worth it girls.

We did talk at the meeting this morning about how it would be if food had lights. Like high calorie foods were red lights and we should stop. Some food can be eaten with caution, watching portions, and some foods are green lights and are safe to fill up on. Hopefully, they will think about what they are eating this week.

One girl at the meeting said she heard someone (motivational speaker) talking about calories and the man said that if you eat 1 m and m, you have to walk the length of a football field to burn it off!! AInt worth it to me..LMAO!

Shortstack posted about the M&M's one time. She said there are about 55 M&M's in a pack. That's walking the football field 55 times to burn off one pack of M&M's. THAT's definitely a red light food.

Well I am doing fine on the weight loss front but things are still as hectic as ever. Remember I told you about my friend and her moron husband? Well it never rains but it pours, her Dad just died. Can you believe it? Honestly, how much is one person supposed to bear? So I am heading to Yorkton next week for moral support. The funeral is this weekend but I have to work so I will head out on my first day off.

I had a big long post to you all on Tues but the computer ate it and I just did not have time to repost.

I had a 3.25 loss so I should break the 100lb mark next week. I will not wear my new jeans until I do and it is driving me NUTS!!!!

Did the Relay for Life last Friday night and our little town of 33,000 raised (drumroll please.............................) $115,000.00. for Cancer research. I am so impressed!!! I ended up running 12 km over the course of the event and all told covered 37 km by my pedometer. It was an all night do, started at 7pm and ended 7am. I was so tired by 5:30 am it was unbelievable. I smelled like a skunk and my feet were on fire, but we kept at it and made it to the end. Some of the highlights included the illuminary celebration. Candles encircled our track and had messages celebrating survivours and mourning those who did not. I could not read more than a couple at a time without getting a lump the size of a baseball in my throat. I was crying like there was no tommorow as they were lit. We were at the base of a hill so later in the evening our group scaled the hill and it was an amazing sight, a circle of light.
At daybreak we blew bubbles and "sent messages to heaven" while a choir sang. also very moving. There was so much more and our team has already commited to participating again next year. It was a truly worthwile thing to do and I feel so satisfied at being a tiny part of it.

When I got home my hubby wrinkled his nose in disgust and ran me a bath while I had a cup of coffee. You would not believe how badly I was craving that coffee. Probably could have raised another couple thousand bucks selling fresh fresh, strong brew to the weary. When I got out of the tub he had a great big plate of scambled eggs with cheese and toast ready for me, not very diet friendly but is was ambrosia. I limped of to bed and was not a very lively being for the rest of the weekend.

I entered all my Treasurer stuff into Quicken on wed/thurs. That took a while, but phew, it is done now and will make quarterly audits a snap.

Well I have just jabbered on and on here. A big welcome to all the newcomers, and to all you "old" timers I am thinking of you and miss having the time to post, so many of you are doing incredible! I know I have not posted lately but I felt compelled after hearing cc talk. I know how you feel about how much a person can bear. A couple friend of my parents (they have four sons) lost one of there sons (16) two years ago in a car accident and yesterday another son (23) got killed in a car wreck. He was my age and a old friend of mine. It is so horrible that bad things happen to good people. My mil lost her son (my brother in law) two years ago and she said that if any thing ever happened to my husband or the other brother, that they would have to burry her along with him.

I know how she feels. That is just so horrible. I just wanted to vent a little along with you.

CC your friend is in my prayers and I hope mine are in all of yours!

I'm back!

I am sorry that I have not been on in awhile. I don't know if you remember, but I told you that some things were going on that I had to take some time off. I couldn't talk about it then.

One of my best friends was diagnosed with lung and liver cancer on the 15th of April. It was so far advanced that she oped to not have radiation. She was 78, had no children and lost her husband last Dec. She went into Hospice on May 20th and passed away on June 2nd. She had no relatives here in the states. My husband and I took care of her and I spent most of the time over there and later at Hospice.

She was such a special person, so full of life, but when her husband died ( he had a massive heart attack) she really just lost the will to live.

I could not talk about it before, but really need your prayers.

My hubby and I are taking off tomorrow for a few days. We just need to get away.

I hope you are all doing well. I have lost some weight in the time since I last posted, but eating fast foods on the run, really didn't help me. But I hope to be back on track now.

I have rattled long enough. But you all are such a big encouragement, I needed to get back.

I have thought about you all, hope you felt the good wishes.
