A new motivation!

  • Hi all.

    I just wanted to say that I have a new motivation for losing weight. i recently started working at a bridal store and all of the gorgeous gowns are making me motivated to lose weight! Im not engaged yet, but I have had a boyfriend for the last 5 years, so we're definitely thinking of getting married in the next couple of years. I know I don't want to get married until I lose the weight. All day I see these gorgeous brides coming in and trying on these gorgeous gowns and I want to be like that, ya know? Plus, wedding gowns usually run small. Anyways, I thought I'd share with you all. The only thing that sucks about my job is that it's open late and I can't do the workout I usually do, which is biking for a couple of hours in the evening.

  • You can try different fitness dvds-- a lot only takes up your time for about half hour to an hour and you're like panting and dying at the end. Hope by the fitness videos section to see what's out there!

    And great working in a bridal shop. I'm getting into wedding photography and all the brides are so small and skinny it's making me really envious too!
  • I def have the same goal - to be skinny in a wedding dress so I look hot and not be disgusted by the once-in-a-lifetime photos. Not married nor engaged and prob won't be for awhile so I have time to work on it!

    I watch that TLC show - Say Yes to the Dress. HOLY! All the dresses look amazing and all the styles I like prob only really look good on a smaller framed women... so that's some motivation there for me!
  • That's awesome! I think I'd want to try on all of the dresses if I worked in a bridal shop.

    About your frustration with working out though... would it be possible to just switch the time that you go on your bike ride? Maybe you could go in the mornings before it gets too warm if that's the issue.
