I'm going to an event today that is having cupcakes catered from this AMAZING local bakery. I want to work one (maybe even two!) into my calories for the day, but am not sure how to count them. Is 250 calories per cupcake about right, do you think? Too high, too low?
My calorie king book says 260 for regular size, 520 for large, 11o for mini.Mini???????????????Who eats 1 mini cupcake?LOL!!!
i think it probably depends on what the cake part of is made of and the kind of icing that is used and if it has candy toppings etc etc. you should probably leave 300 cals per cupcake to play it safe and then calculate their exact amounts when you get home and once you know what each one was made of.
I would also guess around 300, and it is very smart of you to plan ahead so you can enjoy one or two high-quality cupcakes!!
Sounds good, thanks! I just had an awesome breakfast pita for 170 calories, so if I count 600 calories of cupcakes as my "lunch," then I'm still on-track to have a normal dinner. Kind of a weird day food-wise, but TOTALLY worth it to have cupcakes from this particular bakery!
Yeah just take a vitamin with dinner and good luck with the sugar coma after the cupcakes!
maybe grab a slice of cheese or something to keep your sugar from skyrocketing so bad!! I had a cupcake the other day and counted it as 250 and it was so worth it!!
