  • I'm really excited today and I had had had to come share it here.

The most weight I've ever lost at a time is 14 pounds. 15 pounds seemed so impossible to me when I started. Sure I can lose a few pounds, but I always end up going back to my old ways by 14 pounds down.

Well, today, I made 15.8 pounds. I know that's not a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it's more than I've ever done and it's huge for me

    YAY!

What are the intimidating goals for you guys?
  • That is seriously awesome. The most I've ever lost is 10 lbs, so I am celebrating with you, and hope to catch up to you soon!
  • woo hoo! i think my most is actually like 5 lbs. for some reason i can nvr get to ten or 15...but im trying now!
  • This is an incredible feat and nothing to be dismissed at all. I know you are in the zone now. Keep up your work and visit often.
  • Woohoo! You go! I know exactly how you feel. I am coming up on my lowest weight for the last several years - don't even know how long it has been since I have been there.

You are rolling now! Just keep moving!

  • Congratulations on your loss, it is great!
  • Way to go, Gretchy! And the best part? This is just the beginning!

    Go, Gretchy, go !
  • Good job! 15 pounds is a LOT--next time you're in the grocery store, go over and pick up a 15 pound bag of potatoes. It's HEAVY. Congratulations on reaching this milestone!
  • That is really cool! I am so glad that you were able to beat your previous record!!! Great job

My intimidating goal? 200 lbs lost. I can totally lose 100 but 200? It seems... like a footballer players worth to me lol!
  • congratulations! and it is a lot. I buy my dogfood in 15lb sacks, and I wouldn't want to carry one of those around all day! wtg"
  • Congratulations on getting past a hurdle!!! Now you know that you CAN do it. You've lost 15 lbs. And you know what ? There is nothing on this earth that can stop you from doing it again - and again - and again. All the way to your FINAL goal. You ARE a loser!
  • That is awesome! Good for you. My intimidating goal is 20 pounds. Just prior to getting to that point, it seems to be where I get stuck. So, for now, I'm just trying to get to 10!!
  • My goals is to lose 200# give-or-take but more intimidating to me is the thought of weighing 179. I haven't seen a "17-" on a scale since I was, I don't know, 11 maybe? Possibly for a few weeks when I was 18 but I don't remember it well.
  • I used to be just floored by thinking, "I need to lose AT LEAST 110 pounds!!" It seems impossible, but I just chose to ignore it and focus on day by day, week by week living/eating/moving. I had to.

Now, I have a real mental block when it comes to getting under 200, but I am going to do it anyway. I'll let my brain catch up later if I have to.
  • Mine is looking at losing 234 lbs total. Over the last few years I've dabbled down to the 280's but no lower. I'm trying to concentrate on 250's. I haven't been below 280 in more than fifteen years and under 200 in 22 years (coincides with my first wedding anniversary).
